Tango on the lawn – Tamsin & Jonathan’s Engagement Shoot

June 9, 2013
One of the things I adore about a couple shoot like this is that it allows time to get to know each other and surprises nearly always occur.. While I was changing lenses, Jonathan and Tamsin decided to engage in a passion of theirs... Tango! Talk about romance, perfect posture and an amazing photo opportunity! This was not a planned part of the shoot but there was no way I was going to miss this moment...
Great Coffee at Absolute Dental

Proof that Dentists are fun

September 5, 2012
When Absolute Dental of Kingsbridge asked me to do a commercial photo shoot for them I had images of cliche shiny white smiles and tools of torture. Fortunately the lovely people at Absolute Dental are more forward thinking than my antiquated thoughts of pliers and pain. Emma and the rest of the team are more into promoting the benefits and lifestyle choices that oral hygiene can offer.

Giant Tandem Teepee

Wedding in a Teepee

June 25, 2012
Quite simply, when my friend and fellow photographer, Claire Sloane, asked if wanted to help her shoot a Teepee Wedding.. I was at first confused, intrigued and then very very keen. When it comes to unusual weddings, I get all excited.. I love it when a couple put their own stamp on their special day. [caption

HDR or Speedlites

June 1, 2012
This is a very quick post just to voice some thoughts I've been having on commercial property shoots using either HDR Techniques or lighting via strobes. I am not expert when it comes to HDR, but I am open minded as to its uses. In the I hate/love HDR camp, I probably fall in the 'what can it do for me' camp. I've been in discussions with another friendly photographer regarding the usefulnes
Sarah and Tommy

Portraits with pets

May 29, 2012
They say, never work with animals or children, and while I can understand the reasoning, I can honestly say that I relish a challenge. Local Devon girl, Sarah, asked if I would be willing to make a portrait of her and her dog Tommy so that she could give it as a gift to her man, Richard. Richard has just passed his pilot exams and now is looking at time away from home to build up his experie

So you want to shoot weddings?

July 28, 2011
There are some things in photography that are almost guaranteed.. 1) You'll always want more gear than you have.. 2) No matter how good you get, you'll never be good enough for your inner critic 3) Someone, somewhere will put the idea in your head that you should shoot weddings.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of shooting Katie Bradley for my second time. For those that don't know who Katie is.. She is an up and coming talent in British WTF style Taekwondo. At 14 she is already a British National Champion and has recently competed for her
